How iovera° Works

The iovera° system uses N₂O, which does not reach temperatures cold enough to cause irreversible nerve damage

Liquid N₂O cartridge is inserted into the Handpiece; each cartridge >850 psi
During each treatment cycle, liquid N₂O flows into the attached Smart Tip, where it expands into a gas. The iovera° system uses the body's own fluids to form a precise cold zone around the nerve. N₂O boils at -88°C, which is the coldest temperature that can be attained with iovera°
N₂0 safely exits as a gas; needles are closed-ended so nothing is injected into the body
