Versatility by design

The iovera° system is intended for use by, or under the direction of, a physician in settings such as a physician's office, ambulatory surgery center (ASC), or hospital‑based outpatient department (HOPD). It is used across operative and non‑operative treatment pathways in specialties such as orthopedics, sports medicine, anesthesia, and pain management. The iovera° system is cleared to treat pain by targeting peripheral nerve tissue and may be used on nerves outside the knee, consistent with its indications for use.

Smart tip options to fit your treatment goals

Three different Smart Tips give health care providers the flexibility to decide how to perform the treatment.

Use ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance or map out anatomical landmarks to perform the procedure across identified treatment lines.

Smart Tip 2309

Three-needle Smart Tip configuration
  • Three 27-gauge needles, 8.5 mm long
  • Ultrasound is not needed; however, it can be used before treatment for nerve identification
  • Ideally suited for superficial nerves, including the AFCN and ISN

Smart Tip 2190 & Smart Tip 2190 With Nerve Stim

iovera device vertical product view
  • Single 20-gauge needle, 90 mm long
  • Ultrasound is required for nerve identification and during treatment
  • Ideally suited for deeper nerves: can also treat superficial nerves

Smart Tip 21180 With Nerve Stim

Smart Tip 21180 image
  • Single 25-gauge needle, 180 mm long
  • Typically performed under fluoroscopic guidance
  • Designed for use through a cannula or introducer
  • Ideally suited for the treatment of deeper nerves such as the medial branch associated with facet joint pain

AFCN=anterior femoral cutaneous nerve; ISN=infrapatellar branch of the saphenous nerve.
